What exactly is PureGen?
PureGen was initiated as a movement to unite and equip the youth of today to stand for purity of heart, mind, and body. Our umbrella ministry is Generations of Virtue (who you can read more about here) and everything we do is to further the message of purity and the gospel of Christ. All of the PureGen leaders are full time volunteers for “GOV” and each one of them has a heart for youth and parents alike to be prepared to engage in the battle for integrity and purity.
All of the conflicts we are bombarded with in society today are more proof that this battle is only getting more intense. As we know from the word of God, our battle is not against flesh and blood (people), but against the spiritual enemy of our souls. The only way we are going to see a revolution for values in our world is by each and every person laying down their agenda and pride and committing their entire life to Christ. This commitment and sacrifice goes much deeper than a simple taste of giving up your money, time, or talents. True sacrifice for the kingdom is an abandonment of our preconceptions and “rights” to say instead “Here I am, Lord, please use my life for Your glory.” When your life is laid on the altar for Christ you will begin to see opportunities to further surrender and watch Him work miracles in your life and community.
By living for purity in heart, mind, and body we are seeking to “see God” as He said it would be in Matthew 5:8. Purity goes deeper than standards or even abstinence, it is a decision in your heart to set Jesus as your example and allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse your entire being. It is not a matter of commitments or ceremonies (although those have their place and purpose), but a day-in and day-out walk with the lover of our souls and a deep communion with Him that can only be accomplished when we accept the untainted love of Jesus Christ. Love is one of the biggest areas that has been twisted by our culture today, and it’s high time more people stood up to show and share the true fearless love of our Redeemer.
This movement is meant to be a place for like-minded individuals to band together for purity – no matter the cost.
